In an effort to combat factory farming, I conceptualized and prototyped a smartphone app and visual identity for an organization dedicated to educating and empowering consumers to make better purchasing decisions.
The Approach
In an effort to make the user's interaction with zutu a positive one, the visual tone is bright, airy, and inviting throughout all touchpoints.
Label Guide
The primary purpose of the app is to help users better understand labels on their products. Zutu uses a color ranking system to make ethical shopping easy.

By scanning a product's barcode, the zutu app provides shoppers with product label information quickly, making it the ideal in-store shopping companion.
Social Media presence and marketing
A series of carousel ads to help educate zutu's audience on social media such as instagram.

A refined logo with soft edges. Colors and curves with a sprout to represent growth.
