The Project

Alberto-Culver is a theoretical indie music studio located in the San Francisco Bay area. The woman-owned studio boasted the best technology music production has to offer and rooted itself in providing a safe space for all musicians to experiment and create.

Project deliverables included a logo and visual identity design, digital marketing touchpoints, and a homepage for their website.
The Approach
The concept for the studio's visual identity is rooted in the company's core purpose to provide the space and equipment for musical artists to thrive as themselves.

This notion is translated visually through strong, geometric shapes with ample space within the letterforms. The streamlined letterforms are representative of the technological aspect of the recording studio, and the soft edges and inner white space are indicative of a welcoming space without harsh criticism.
Brand Guidelines
Including logo and color variations, patterns, example imagery, etc.
Business Cards
Utilizing system patterns (as inspired by the studio equipment) and adding a fun treatment to the dark side of the business card. The darker logo indicates a gloss finish to contrast the "soft touch" coating intended for the lighter gray portion of the card.
Social Media Ads
Carousels for instagram and banners for Facebook. The tagline focuses on the audience, calling them ("you") out by name to emphasize the importance of Alberto-Culver's relationship with their musical artists.
Website
The home page continues the treatment of warm, photographic imagery and smooth, curved edges.
